Château Malartic-Lagravière - Pessac-Léognan - Red - 2023 :
Château Malartic-Lagravière is a distinguished Grand Cru Classé de Graves, one of only six estates classified for both red and white wines. Situated in Pessac-Léognan, the property has been meticulously managed by the Bonnie family since 1997, focusing on agro-ecology and gravity-flow winemaking to achieve wines of profound depth and classic elegance.
Tasting Notes
The wine presents with a deep ruby-garnet hue. The nose offers a complex blend of concentrated cassis, mulberry, and licorice, beautifully interwoven with secondary notes of fine tobacco, pencil lead, and a subtle smoky minerality typical of the Graves gravels. The mouthfeel is structured, yet the tannins are polished and velvety, leading to a persistent, refined finish. This is a classic Bordeaux with immense cellaring capacity.
