The CAVE D'IROULEGUY IROULEGUY KATTALIN RGE ROUGE is a distinctive, organically farmed red wine from the unique AOC Irouléguy in the French Basque Country. This blend, primarily composed of the structured Tannat grape, with the softening influence of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, reflects the rugged beauty of its mountain vineyards. The name 'Kattalin' (ladybird in Basque) highlights its organic credentials and connection to the local environment.

Tasting Notes

• Appearance: Deep, luminous garnet red.
• Nose: Intense dark fruit aromas (black cherry, mulberry) mingle with subtle floral notes and a touch of peppery spice.
• Palate: Pleasantly fresh and full-bodied on the attack, with smooth, refined tannins providing excellent structure. It is a well-balanced, 'gourmand' wine with a persistent, flavourful finish.

Food Pairing & Service

A superb accompaniment to rich, savoury dishes. Decanting is recommended to soften the tannins. Serve between 16-18°C.
