The RACINES SANTA RITA HILLS PINOT NOIR is an ambitious California project uniting the Old World expertise of Burgundy's Étienne de Montille and Champagne's Rodolphe Péters with the pioneering spirit of Santa Barbara. This cuvée is the benchmark expression of the cool-climate Sta. Rita Hills AVA, delivering a Pinot Noir that is both elegant and intensely terroir-focused.

Racines aims for wines of purity and transparency. This Pinot Noir is a blend of top vineyard sites (including La Encantada and Sanford & Benedict), showcasing the region's potential for producing world-class, age-worthy red wines with a distinctive flinty character.

• Colour: A luminous, medium-depth ruby.
• Nose: An alluring bouquet of crushed red flowers, mint, strawberry, and forest floor. Notes of cedar and spice from the French oak add layers of complexity.
• Palate: Savory and delicate, yet with a dense core of red berry fruit. The structure is reminiscent of fine Burgundy, thanks to ample acidity and refined tannins. The finish is long, fresh, and leaves a subtle, flinty echo.
