The Vigouroux Family, custodians of this high-altitude estate in the Sud-Ouest, have perfected a style that balances the grape's natural power with rare elegance. Grown on the distinctive Kimmeridgian clay and limestone soils of the Lot Valley plateau, this Malbec delivers a depth and complexity that sets it apart from its New World counterparts.

Tasting Notes

• Appearance: Deeply coloured, almost black, with vibrant carmine reflections.
• Aroma: Intense and layered, revealing ripe black fruits (mulberry, blackcurrant, damson plum) layered with nuances of dark chocolate, spice, and a subtle earthy complexity typical of Cahors.
• Taste: Full-bodied and structured yet remarkably smooth. The tannins are polished, offering a velvet texture that carries the concentrated dark fruit flavours through to a long, satisfying finish.

Food Pairing & Service

A wine that demands rich, hearty fare. Ideal with classic British roasts, game, or a mature cheese board. Serve slightly cool at 16°C-18°C. Decanting is highly recommended for older vintages or for one hour prior to serving a younger wine.
