Clos de l'Oratoire holds its place as a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé, managed with expertise by the renowned Comtes von Neipperg family. This Right Bank claret is celebrated for its immediate charm and profound aging capability, reflecting the quality of its clay and Fronsac molasse soils.

Vineyard & Production

The 13-hectare vineyard is predominantly Merlot (80%), lending seductive roundness, balanced by Cabernet Franc for aromatic lift and structure. The property is committed to sustainable viticulture (Organic certified since 2020). Maturation in oak barrels (up to 80% new) for 18 months ensures a wine of great complexity and polish.

• Colour: A deep, rich crimson, hinting at its concentration.
• Nose: Forward and expressive, with dominant notes of ripe dark berries (blackberry, plum), sweet spice, violet, and subtle hints of pencil shavings and dried herbs.
• Palate: Medium to full-bodied, delivering a velvety texture and a core of concentrated fruit. The tannins are beautifully integrated, providing a firm, elegant backbone that carries the wine to a long, clean finish.

Serve at a cool cellar temperature (approx. 15.5°C). Decanting is highly recommended for younger vintages.
