The Exquisite COLIN BRUNO CHASSAGNE MONTRACHET RGE V.V. ROUGE
From the heart of the Côte de Beaune, the Domaine Bruno Colin's Chassagne-Montrachet Rouge Vieilles Vignes is a magnificent example of premium Burgundy Pinot Noir. While Chassagne is famed for its whites, the red wines are elegant, structured, and increasingly sought after by connoisseurs.
Sommelier's Notes & Structure
The 'Vieilles Vignes' designation (Old Vines, 45+ years) ensures superb concentration and depth of flavour. The Domaine is committed to organic farming, producing wines with a focus on tension and purity.
- Tasting Note: Expect a rich ruby hue, leading to a nose dominated by juicy red fruits-think ripe cherry, cassis, and a touch of woodland spice. The palate is full, yet silky, with soft tannins and a lovely sweetness on the finish. The 12 months spent in French oak (25% new) adds complexity without masking the fruit.
Serving Suggestion
A truly special occasion wine. Pair with fine dining fare and serve at a cellar temperature of 15°C. This wine has a strong aging potential, capable of developing tertiary notes of truffle and musk over 5-15 years.
