The unique blue clay and iron oxide soils are key to producing a Merlot-dominant wine of great structure, elegance, and longevity.

Tasting Notes: A Profile of Elegance

• Colour: A wonderfully intense, deep purple.
• Aroma: Complex and inviting, releasing concentrated notes of dark berries (blackcurrant, plum), developing into nuances of violet, truffle, and a delicate wood spice and cocoa finish from its time in new French oak.
• Taste: The palate is generous yet poised, with an opulent core of ripe fruit. The defining feature is the texture: smooth, velvety tannins provide a seamless mouthfeel and carry the flavour through a long, fresh, and precise finish. A classic, age-worthy Bordeaux.

Food Pairing & Decanting

This wine is built for the Sunday roast and other fine cuts of meat. Serve at 17-18°C. For younger bottles, we highly recommend decanting for at least an hour to soften the tannins and allow the full complexity of the bouquet to emerge.
