The Rully 1er Cru Grésigny by Domaine A&P de Villaine is an exquisite, top-tier Chardonnay from the highly-regarded Côte Chalonnaise. This Premier Cru is crafted from ancient, 80-year-old vines in the 'Grésigny' *climat*-a site renowned for producing wines of great power and mineral intensity.

Led by the family of Aubert de Villaine (the legendary co-director of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti), the estate has been certified organic since 1986. This dedication to biodynamic principles ensures a wine that is a pure, unmasked reflection of its unique, stony terroir.

Tasting Notes

• Appearance: Bright, pale yellow-gold.
• Aromatics: A complex bouquet featuring white orchard fruit, honeysuckle, and citrus, evolving with air to reveal layers of subtle butter and a flinty, mineral edge.
• Flavour Profile: The palate is structured and full, yet retains a stunning freshness. It shows concentrated fruit (apple, pear) balanced by a riveting, chalky acidity. The wine culminates in a long, profound, and distinctly saline finish-a signature of top Rully.
