The Malbec - Gualtallary Rouge Altaluvia, from Bodega Doña Paula’s premium Altaluvia range, is a spectacular example of high-altitude Argentine Malbec. Grown at 1,350 metres above sea level in the celebrated Gualtallary sub-region of the Uco Valley, this wine is defined by its unique limestone-rich soils, resulting in a Malbec of exceptional tension and elegance.

• Colour: A deep, saturated ruby with vibrant purple edges.
• Nose: An elegant bouquet of ripe black fruits (plum, cherry), subtle herbal spice (thyme, tobacco), and the characteristic chalky/graphite note of the Gualtallary terroir.
• Palate: Full-bodied and beautifully structured. The fine-grained, firm tannins provide a powerful yet refined mouthfeel. The high-altitude acidity maintains outstanding freshness, leading to a long, mineral-driven, and juicy finish.

Food Pairing & Decanting

A wine this robust deserves a proper Sunday roast or a classic steak dinner. We recommend decanting for an hour to soften the powerful tannins and unlock the aromatic complexity. Serve at 16-18°C.
