This Castello di Radda Chianti Classico DOCG is a superb example of Sangiovese from the prized Radda sub-region of Tuscany. Known as 'Chianti-shire' for its beautiful landscapes and high-quality vineyards, this wine captures the essence of the Gallo Nero. Grown on medium-textured, limestone-rich soils at high elevations, the wine achieves a wonderful balance of structure, elegance, and refreshing acidity. • Appearance: Intense ruby, evolving into a distinguished garnet with bottle age.
• Aroma: A pleasant, intensely varietal nose, with core notes of crushed violet, concentrated black cherry, and plum, underpinned by subtle balsamic and graphite complexity.
• Taste: The palate is harmonious and savoury. Expect rich, ripe fruit flavours layered over a foundation of fine-grained tannins and the characteristic bright acidity of Sangiovese. It is a structured wine with a persistent, mineral-driven finish.

This wine is built for the table. Its structure and acidity cut through rich, savory dishes beautifully. Decanting for around an hour is highly recommended to allow the bouquet to fully open up before serving.
